iPhone 12, Mini, and Max Size Comparison: All iPhone Models Side by Side


Apple now provides more size choices than ever when purchasing an iPhone with the introduction of the iPhone 12 lineup. We have previously published comparisons of size between leaked dummy iPhone 12 models versus a number of other iPhone models. We have revisited these size comparison graphics now that the iPhone 12 has been officially launched and find that the dummy versions were right on the mark.



The relative sizes of all iPhones from iPhone SE to present are shown in this graphic. The sizes of iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 / Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max suit nicely among the current versions.

Remember, for the sake of contrast, we took some minor liberties. The back camera configuration does not accurately reflect the XS Max, 7 Plus and 8 Plus cameras for the iPhone 11 Pro Max image, but the overall sizes of all these devices are almost identical.


In addition to physical size, you have to consider how things will appear on the screen itself. Due to the size difference, websites will render differently and information may be presented differently. Here are 3 screenshots of the same webpage rendered in each device. This was simulated in Xcode and scaled to fix the respective devices:
