Black Friday, which takes place on November 27 in 2020, is a major shopping holiday in the United States. During the event, retailers across the country drop their prices on thousands of items, hoping to lure shoppers to their stores.

Apple items are highly attractive on the cheap, and retailers have offered some great offers in recent years. We'll be compiling a list of all online and in-store stores, selling iPhone, iPad, iPod, MacBook, HomePod, Beats headphones, Apple accessories, apps, and more discounts.

As Black Friday approaches, this roundup will be updated often. We're going to highlight the very best offers available this year so readers of MacRumors know where to go for the best discounts. It is important to note that many of the Black Friday offers we will mention below will be limited especially those that are "doorbusters," or particular promotions designed to attract customers to a store. These kinds of sales tend to go fast as retailers have a small supply, so it's best to take advantage of a sale as early as possible in some instances.

For Black Friday in 2020, Apple will host a four-day shopping celebration, offering customers with the purchase of select items up to a $150 Apple Store gift card. This event begins on Friday, November 27 and ends on Apple.com and in Apple Stores in the United States on Monday, November 30. The deal will also be available in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and potentially many other countries, with different quantities of gift cards.

Apple also omitted some of its newest devices, including the iPhone 12 series, Apple Watch Series 4 and newer versions, and the recent iPad Air, as well as refurbished products, educationally discounted products, and iPhones purchased via the iPhone Upgrade Program, as in previous years.

For products, accessories, software, sports, music videos, TV shows, iCloud, and more, Apple's new gift cards can be used. As normal, there are better discounts on Apple items on Black Friday than what Apple sells itself, so in this roundup, it is best to double check at one of the other retailers before making a purchase on Black Friday directly from Apple.

Best Buy

Best Buy has announced its full lineup of deals coming from Thanksgiving week as well as introduced a Black Friday preview sale that offers early shoppers several of these deals.

The sale for early Black Friday will run from Thursday, 29 October, to Sunday, 1 November. For Thanksgiving week on Sunday, November 22, sales kick off. Then on Thanksgiving day, the online-only deals will appear and on Friday morning, doorbusters will appear, with Cyber Week deals occurring on Saturday, November 28.

Best Buy's Black Friday Schedule

In the United States, every Best Buy location will be closed on Thanksgiving in 2020, so online sales will be the priority on November 26. The complete schedule of Best Buy for Black Friday week can be seen below, and for more information, you can check out the Best Buy Black Friday newspaper ad.

Covid-19 Protection Efforts: Best Buy needs both staff and customers to wear face coverings while preparing to shop in Black Friday stores (and in general). Within each venue, there will be a limit to the number of people and social distancing efforts will be in place.

Contactless curbside delivery is available at all Best Buy stores for someone who does not want to shop inside a Best Buy store during the holidays. Within an hour, orders are ready, and an employee will safely carry them out and position them inside your vehicle. Next-day and same-day delivery options are now expanding on Best Buy's website to include more products.

Best Buy Black Friday - Weeklong Savings Begin Nov. 22

Best Buy's Black Friday, like most stores, is actually a week-long affair that begins on the Sunday before Thanksgiving: November 22. With an online-only set of offers, this will run through to Thanksgiving Day and then end on Black Friday, November 27, with the planned doorbuster list.

You'll find a lot of markdowns on premium TV sets, Blu-Rays, tablets, Dyson vacuums, smart speakers, video games, and much more, close to years past. Walmart

This month, Walmart has held several pre-Black Friday sales, but has not yet shared its full plans for next week. Now though, we have a better picture of all the offers you'll see if you plan to buy Walmart on November 27th (and 25 and 26).

Walmart's Black Friday Schedule

Much like Best Buy, on Thanksgiving Day all Walmart stores will be closed. On November 26, Walmart urges shoppers to move to its online store instead with online sales officially kicking off at 7 p.m. on Black Friday week. ET The et. Covid-19 Safety Efforts: Walmart will ask clients to build a single-file line for anybody who appears before 5 a.m. at a venue. 27 November. The "Health Ambassadors" of Associates and Walmart will sell sanitised shopping carts and support social distancing activities, while also advising clients to wear masks.

Walmart can metre customers into the store for every in-store Black Friday event to help alleviate congestion and facilitate social distancing as the store starts to fill up. Relevant traffic for shopping down the right-hand side of aisles would also be available to minimise clustering.

Walmart extended Black Friday offers to three big "Deals for Days" promotions across the month, and with this attempt, the company hoped that this year's in-store shopping experience would be safer and more manageable. You can opt for delivery to your home or contactless curbside pickup if you want to order online, as well.

Walmart Black Friday - Online shopping begins November 25

There are quite a few solid Apple-related offers, including the lowest price we've ever seen on a new pair of $169 AirPods Pro, which will appear at Walmart this year. For offers on Apple Watch Series 3 and Beats headphones, you should also keep an eye out.

It's not all Apple items getting discounted at Walmart, of course. You can also save 4K TV sets, video games, Fitbit devices, Shark vacuums, branded Google Nest products, Roku streaming media players and more on Vizio and Samsung.

The Black Friday ad from Walmart confirms that it will have stock on its website for the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X starting on Wednesday, November 25. These aren't being discounted, but if you have not been able to secure an order yet this year it is worth noting when stock will return for the new generation of consoles.

The famous Nintendo Switch with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe package that we're seeing at different retailers in 2020 includes other video game deals. This collection includes the Nintendo Switch, a Mario Kart 8 digital download, and Nintendo Switch Online at $299 for three months.

Target has been carrying quite a few pre-Black Friday sales across November, close to Walmart. Thanks to the recent release of the Black Friday circular, we now have a good picture of all the offers you'll see if you want to shop on Black Friday at Target.

Target's Black Friday Schedule

Target's case, like other retailers, is more of a week of promotions rather than just a day. On Sunday, November 22, the retailer kicked things off, and sales will be rolling in and out all the way through Saturday, November 28. This means that all the deals mentioned in this post are already live, basically.

Covid-19 Safety Efforts: In preparation for holiday shopping, Aim introduced a range of new safety initiatives last month. When shopping at Target this season, you can expect the normal orders: you will need to wear a face mask in every Target store, and you can choose to use the "Drive Up" food drop-off service if you don't want to enter the store.

In addition, thanks to the Wallet functionality in the Target app, guests can take advantage of contactless self-checkout, and the retailer is also rolling out "MyCheckout" devices to let team members help guests check out anywhere in the store and avoid queues.

You can visit Goal.com/line if you're planning a major Target shopping trip to see if there's a line outside your local store. If there is, without having to physically be there you can reserve a spot in the line. Target sends out a text to your phone when it's your time to enter the store and you can start shopping.

Target Black Friday - Deals live now

Target has a few offers that converge with other sellers, including Nintendo Switch discounts, Amazon's Fire TV device line, and a few Beats headphones. Target's ad is a little anaemic in terms of Apple sales, but we are seeing promotions on iPhone 12 models and Beats headphones. This includes a low price of $159.99 for the Powerbeats Pro.

You'll be better off going to Walmart for AirPods Pro (beginning November 25) or Amazon for standard AirPods if you're shopping for AirPods.

iPhone

Goal offers bill credits of up to $250 on the new iPhones when you port to AT&T on a line and buy the handset on an AT&T instalment plan. This is only accessible through November 28 for in-store pickup.

Additionally, when trading in and adding a new line or updating an existing line to an approved smartphone plan, you can get up to $700 off selected Apple products. This deal is also only available and not online in Target stores.

The iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max and iPhone 12 mini are new iPhones eligible for these deals. Older iPhone models have other deals, including a $300 Goal gift card with eligible activation, such as the iPhone 11 Pro Max.

The Black Friday 2020 ad from GameStop reveals that there will be limited supply of the PS5 and Xbox Series X in shops. There will be a minimum of two PS5 consoles and two Xbox Series X consoles per location in all stores, but this year there will be no discounts, of course.

GameStop stores will open at 7 a.m. on Black Friday, but online sales will start as early as 8 p.m. on Wednesday. Uh. CST.

Nomad began its Black Friday sale on November 20, and it will run through Tuesday, December 2. During this time, the entire Nomad site will be 30 percent off and no code will be needed to take advantage of the discount.

It's worth taking a look at some of the best offers we have seen in 2019 to get an idea of what kind of deals we might expect this year.

Apple has been providing a four-day shopping experience for the past few years, kicking off on Black Friday and running through Cyber Monday. With the acquisition of select Apple and Beats products, Apple's 2019 event offered Apple Store gift cards ranging from $25 to $200, but several third-party retailers offered better offers, including straight discounts rather than bonus gift cards.

The HomePod was one of the most successful offers during the Black Friday event last year: it was marked down to a price of $199.99, from $299.00. Throughout 2020, we've regularly seen the same discount, so you can bet that the $199.99 price tag will return (or maybe even beat) at stores like Best Buy.

The previous generation 32GB 10.2-inch iPad, priced at $249.99 at retailers like Best Buy and Target, down from $329.99, was another Apple device that saw wide discounts in 2019. That was another low price for the model. We've already started seeing $30 discounts on the 10.2-inch iPad's 2020 update, so we'll probably see a Black Friday deal on this tablet as well.

Black Friday is also typically a good time to buy an iPhone with different deals provided by various retailers and wireless carriers. This included up to $500 off an iPhone 11 at Best Buy in 2019, a $200 Target gift card, and a $450 Walmart eGift card. For the 2020 iPhone lineup, we expect to see similar offers.
