2021 Apple TV With A12Z Bionic, 6 GB RAM, expected to arrive on December 8; Shipments confirmed to occur this week
For customers wanting to buy the new and powerful 2020 Apple TV, there's great news. As most of you know, leaked internal documents revealed that on December 8, Apple is expected to release new hardware. While we speculated that an updated 16-inch MacBook Pro would arrive, one tipster believes that while also providing some specifications, the new Apple TV will be part of the announcement, and they are certainly impressive.
2020 Same chipset as the new iPad Pro family feature on Apple TV
In a new twist, LeaksApplePro tweets that tomorrow, as part of the company's hardware announcement, the 2020 Apple TV will arrive. Bear in mind that Jon Prosser said before this that the latest Apple TV will launch in 2021, and not this year, so we'll have to find out what Apple's plans really are before tomorrow. Then again the hardware requirements are excellent, assuming this data turns out to be valid.
The tweet indicates that the A12Z Bionic, the same chipset running in the latest iPad Pro models, will power the 2020 Apple TV. It was previously stated that an A12X Bionic will be present, but you will get one additional GPU core with the A12Z Bionic, contributing to some degree of graphical output. We should also anticipate 6GB of RAM, along with internal storage of 128GB. More RAM may be available on the 2020 Apple TV as it will come in handy when playing challenging games courtesy of Apple Arcade.
With LeaksApplePro also reporting that this will be done to enjoy 4K content, the new A12Z Bionic will ensure that the 2020 Apple TV will not run short on bulldozing anything in its way. Previously, the new Apple TV was claimed to arrive with an improved cooling system, likely to keep the A12Z Bionic's frequencies operating at their highest possible values.
As the tipster says they will begin shipping on Friday, customers may not wait that long to get their hands on the 2020 Apple TV. While this has us excited for tomorrow because at this stage nothing is confirmed, for now, treat this information with a pinch of salt, and in the future we will be back with more updates.
