AirPower was gaining traction slowly, but Tipster means that the wireless charging mat of Apple could never launch

AirPower, which was launched back in 2017, would seem to be a convenient solution for wirelessly topping up your Qi-supported computers. Apple later released a statement, sadly, saying that its wireless charging mat would not see a commercial release as it was not up to the high expectations of the business.
That doesn't mean that Apple was going to scrap it completely because there were reports that some tweaks were being made to eliminate or at least minimize the problems that forced Apple to cancel it in the first place. Unfortunately, according to a tipster, it looks like the tech giant could be done and dusted once and for all with this piece.
Tipster notes that the AirPower Prototype does not appear to be part of the 2021 Timetable,
A Jon Prosser tweet, who has gotten a few items right as far as Apple's product launches are concerned, details that the prototyping of Airpower does not seem to be on the 2021 cards. This means that when it comes to its wireless charging pad, Apple could be tossing in the towel. Overheating of the coils was previously highlighted issues for cancelling the Airpower, with Apple's engineers apparently making several tweaks to stop such spiking temperatures.
Shortly afterwards, as he mentioned in his own tweet that Apple's Airpower will not launch in 2020, a dose of fresh air from another Jioriku tipster might have disappointed potential customers, but he gave an optimistic outlook for 2021. Looks like he and Prosser are at odds because at this stage their sources have given them conflicting information. Apple may be experimenting with a less ambitious Airpower variant; like a miniature version of the original and selling it at a lower price, although we have not heard any follow-ups on these reports yet.
Then again with the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro officially available via the purchase of Apple-certified accessories to purchase and help MagSafe, it seems like the company may have several different plans up its sleeve. If Apple continues to secretly prototype its Airpower with little or no positive results, it looks like in the future we could see a whole new line of MagSafe chargers from the company. Of course right now there is no way to grasp the company's intentions, so we'll suggest that our readers take all this knowledge with a pinch of salt.
