Android 11 Rollout Plan Officially Outlined by Samsung

Yesterday, Samsung took us by surprise by sharing the list of devices that will receive the Android 11 update, and then launched the Galaxy S20 device update on the same day. Today, the update has also been expanded to more countries. However, without any official confirmation from Samsung, all of this was happening, so we figured Samsung wanted to keep it quiet.

The company has however, decided to go ahead and outline the official Android 11 rollout plan on the Galaxy devices and some other relevant information.

Next in line to receive Android 11 updates from the Galaxy Note 20 Series, Note 10 Series and S10 Series

Not surprisingly, for the Galaxy S20 models, the rollout has officially begun, meaning that the S20, S20 Plus, and S20 Ultra should receive the update soon and are already receiving it in several regions. Samsung states that next in line are the Galaxy Note 20 series, Note 10 series, and S10 series. In addition, in the coming weeks, the foldable should also get to enjoy Android 11.

Samsung did not mention the Galaxy S20 FE or the Galaxy A devices, but we believe they are also due, to say the least, for the update beginning in early 2021, which makes sense.

Samsung had to say what Android 11 is bringing to the table this time talking about the update.

Apps that you use and visit most inside the interface, such as the home screen, lock screen, alerts and Fast Panel, have been visually updated to highlight significant details. New visual effects, such as the Dim/Blur notification effect, allow you to concentrate on what matters most quickly, and revamped widgets keep your home screen organized, clean and stylish.

One UI 3 doesn't only look distinct, it even looks distinctive. Combined with natural haptic feedback, smoother motion effects and animation make it a pleasure to navigate and use your screen. The fade-out Lock screen looks smoother, under your fingertips, toggles slide more smoothly and button presses feel more realistic-every screen and every touch has been refined. As One UI offers a special, more comprehensive experience in the broader Galaxy ecosystem, with support for the latest features seamlessly available across devices, switching between devices flows more naturally.

In order to give us an idea of how it will look, Samsung has also shared some screenshots with us.
Needless to say, Samsung really delivered on the expectations that the Android 11 update for the Galaxy devices will be released, and looking at the list, it is very long and detailed, so Samsung will not neglect the older devices, either.
