Drop test for iPhone 12 shows how solid the Ceramic Sheild Glass really is.
In contrast to its predecessor, Apple bragged a lot about its new iPhone 12 and how robust it is. A stronger cover glass called the Ceramic Shield was introduced by the company and it is quoted to provide four times better resistance to drops. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro are now available for sale and the products were reviewed by reviewers so that we can make better choices. A new video of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro drop test showing the reliability and how solid the Ceramic Shield really is has been released.
Latest iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro Drop Test and Scratch Test Shows Ceramic Shields' Real Durability
The two videos posted on YouTube illustrate the resilience of the Ceramic Shield in terms of resistance to scratches and breaks. In comparison to last year's iPhone 11, Tech Channel Mobile Reviews EH used a force metre to measure the toughness of the cover glass of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro. On the display, the force metre will apply pressure and calculate it in Newton. The cover glass of the iPhone 12 shattered at 443 Newtons in contrast, while the cover glass of the iPhone 11 broke at 352 Newtons. Compared to last year the figures indicate substantial changes, showing that it is still durable.
Apart from this the drop test was what we were looking forward to the most. The new iPhone 12 drop test performed by Everything Apple Pro tests the durability of the unit. The two new phones, iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, were lowered by Filip from different heights. Without any big problems, the iPhone 12 duo survived the drop test from the waist and head height. On one of the first drop, however the aluminum frame on the iPhone 12 got a fairly hefty dent. On the iPhone 12 Pro, the stainless steel chassis was resistant to dents, but there were scuffs on the edges.
While the latest iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro models are robust, we will still encourage you to add a case and a screen protector for extended durability.
