Teardown from iFixit iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro Reveals the same monitor and batteries that can be switched with one another

The first thorough teardown of the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro is finally here from iFixit and this is the place to be if you want to take a closer look at the interiors. According to the results from the disassembly process, it was found that for both versions, Apple uses comparable components while pricing them differently. Here's a more detailed interpretation of exactly what we mean by that.
Get a reparability score of 6 out of 10 for both iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, with the teardown process being less complicated than other handsets.
It looks like the size of the 6.1-inch panel is not the only thing that Apple chose to keep the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro consistent. While the iFixit teardown shows some improvements, such as the size of the Taptic Engine and the extra camera on the iPhone 12 Pro coupled with the LiDAR unit, on both models there are some interchangeable components. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro, for example, both have the same 2815mAh battery as well as the same display.
This means you can basically use an iPhone 12 monitor to replace the current one on the iPhone 12 Pro, although certain variations such as brightness levels will be seen by the discerning eye. Since both versions have an OLED screen, if it ever came to that it is highly unlikely that users would notice this move. In addition, Apple chose to fill up the available space with plastic because the iPhone 12 uses a primary dual-camera instead of a triple sensor array present on the iPhone 12 Pro.
Looking at the similarities, it might also have given the iPhone 12 access to a telephoto lens if Apple chose, but it would also mean that it would need to raise the asking price. Overall, iFixit gave a reparability score of 6 out of 10 for both the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 Pro.
Do you think having interchangeable parts on both versions is a good surprise or do you think Apple should have made a difference between the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro? Tell us in the comments below.
