WhatsApp Web Could Soon Support Audio and Video Calls

There is no question that one of the most common messaging apps is WhatsApp, and it is only getting better and better. There is a web version of it also called WhatsApp Web, aside from the ones that are installed on our computers, and while it has got some interesting features, the ones we have learned about today are the best. The WhatsApp Web will soon gain support for audio and video calls, according to the latest tip.

A recent leak indicates that WhatsApp Web is providing audio and video call help

The leak comes from the ever so trustworthy WABetaInfo, and they announce that the new version of WhatsApp web/desktop client 2.2043.7 will allow the audio and video calls feature, but it could take some time before anyone can use this feature.

You can see in the screenshot that shows how when you receive a call, the WhatsApp Web will display a tiny popup window, which will then allow you to either accept or reject the incoming call. Of course, you can also make a call to someone and a smaller pop-up window will appear on the screen that will display the call's status. You will also be able to make calls to WhatsApp Web communities, aside from making calls to only people.

The role is currently under development at the time of writing, but according to WABetaInfo, this functionality will start rolling out to users pretty soon. Aside from this feature, in the near future, WhatsApp will also receive support for Linked Devices that will send and receive messages from WhatsApp users from their phone, Facebook portal or web browser.
It should not come as a surprise that WhatsApp Web is certainly something that a lot of people can appreciate and for all the right reasons, considering how WhatsApp has become the go-to for almost anyone you can think of. With such an incredible tool at your side, you will not regret it.
