The best Samsung Galaxy S20 cases: Protect your new S20, S20+ or S20 Ultra.

(Pocket-lint) - The new flagship phone from Samsung, the Galaxy S20, is a bit of a stunner, as is the Galaxy S20+, taking its place in a long line of impressive South Korean handsets.

If you're about to pick up Samsung's latest smartphone, or if you already have it, you're probably going to want to keep it safe from harm, whether it's the edge-to-edge display and stunning screen, the utterly baffling amount of power under its hood or the incredible output of its cameras.

Thankfully, there is already a nice range of smartphone cases on the market, which means that you can choose from stylish and robust options.

Right here, we have compiled a list of some of the very best S20 cases for you and we're going to update it with more new ones as they come in.

Our guide to the best Samsung S20 cases to buy today

Samsung Smart LED View Cover

Samsung has made this lovely LED-laden shell case for its new phone, similar to a case that it made for previous versions of its Galaxy smartphones. There is an LED readout in the cover section of the case that can give you more information about your notifications and alerts when your phone is not in your hands.

Samsung Leather Cover

However, if you want a very easy look, Samsung will also have you covered with its own leather snap-on case for the new handset. This will keep it protected from bumps and bruises, but it will ensure that you still feel the advantage of owning such a lovely new handset, both thin and soft.

Samsung Kvadrat case

The Kvadrat - a slim clamshell that has a very good sense of texture to it but does not add much bulk to the handset at all - is one of our other favourites from Samsung's own range of cases. There are also a few colour choices to choose from, allowing you to nicely tailor it to your sense of style.

Tech21

We are major fans of other phones' Tech21 cases, and their collection of Galaxy S20 cases is no exception to that rule. There are a few alternatives, but the Evo Check is our option, which provides great security but also has a great design aesthetic.

Drop safety is good, but in the form of antimicrobial protection, a fun bonus comes, which apparently decreases microbes by up to 99.99 percent on the surface of the case . After all, there's no downside to a bit of grooming.

Mous

Mous has become well recognized for how well its cases protect against sharp drops and fall injury, but also for integrating new materials, like the Walnut signature finish, into them. However, we really like the Aramid Fibre finish that you can see above. If that's a night out or a business meeting, it's perfect for both conditions.

Bamboo and Black Leather are among the other finishes available.

Snakehive

The cases of Snakehive all hold the same high-quality, authentic leather finishes and are handmade to add to the elegant impression. Their Samsung Galaxy S20 wallet cases allow you to carry your phone around in a stylish and unique way, but still offer practical features such as card slots and pockets.

They're a perfect pick if you want a case that shows off your discerning palate. You can also pick up a new teal-coloured case for the S20 for the first time.

Speck

The cases of Speck still have a touch of class about them, and their new Galaxy S20 line lives up to that history. We are especially fond of the Presidio Perfect-Clear that ensures that while being secured, the class of your phone shines through.

Plus, you won't be in too much danger of losing the phone in the first place with that grip - win-win.

Urban Armor Gear

When it comes to acting as a real insurance policy against drops, if you're deadly serious about protecting your screen, UAG is fantastic. There are a variety of cases available for new Samsung phones, but we especially like the Pathfinder series, right in the sweet spot, which is highly protective but still relatively small.

Gear4

There's something good about a transparent case, but an added bonus is the iridescent sheen that Gear4 has created with its Crystal Palace case. This is a sleek and minimal addition that will keep your phone protected from scratches. Plus, it's up to four metres drop-resistant, letting you make a few errors without ruining your brand new flagship smartphone.
